The All New iPhone 5

Apple just revealed its all NEW iPhone 5, Made entirely of glass and aluminum, available in both Black & White.

Price – $199 for 16GB up to $399 for 64GB.

Below are some specs from the Live Streaming of the Launch Event.

- ”The thinnest, lightest phone we ever made … 7.6 mm thin, 18% thinner than the 4S.”

- 112 grams, 20% lighter than the 4S.

- 1136 x 640, 19:6 aspect ratio.

- New display has 44% more color saturation than the 4S display. “the most accurate display in the industry.”

- Now: ultrafast wireless

- LTE . (HSPA+ and DC-HSDPA are also built in.)

- 802.11n 5 Ghz built in for wifi, up to 150 mbps of speed.

- The Apple A6 chip. 2x faster CPU, and 22% smaller.

- Battery Life of 10 hours on wifi & 8 hours with LTE.

- 8 megapixel, 2364×2448 resolution.

- Dynamic low light mode gives you better pictures without flash. ( pics should look better and be captured 40% faster.)

- Photos in iOS6 can be automatically shared with family /friends who comment in real time

- Panorama is a new feature that allows you to take massive widescreen features. ( A panoramic shot with the iPhone 5 will be 28-megapixels)

- FaceTime over cellular

- 3 mics built in to the iphone. (one mic on the front, one on the bottom, one on the back. Important for Siri and other apps.)

- The new connector is 80% smaller. Bose, JBL, Bang and Oulefson are working on new devices.

iOS 6 Features :

- Apple is licensing Tom Tom’s turn-by-turn tech

- Info cards on businesses made with Yelp partnership.

- Tap on the button with 3D buildings in satellite mode, and you can fly around the scene.

- The new Maps also integrates data from Waze, adding real-time traffic information

- Full-screen mode in Safari

- Mail enhancements include VIPs, messages from everyone you want flagged as important. The flag icon is available throughout Mail.

- Siri will recommend movies based on Rotten Tomatoes, and it now even knows Sports

- Siri will now post to Facebook for you. ( Thats probably the last thing you want to do. haha )

- Integrated Facebook into many of the apps throughout the OS.
