Facebook to hit 1 Billion users by August 2012
The social network giant is all set to become bigger – by hitting a billion users.
Mashable reportedly said that Facebook is all set to hit a billion users worldwide or ‘one-seventh of humanity’. And they also quoted analyst Gregory Lyons and a study in which he claimed Facebook will reach the number in August 2012.
Lyons said hopes are on the growing number of users in India, Brazil and other nations. But only three per cent of India is on Facebook. The estimate follows data that suggests growth in the United States and the United Kingdom has reached the saturation point.
