Google Celebrates Children’s day India with a Doodle

Google India is celebrating today November 14th as Children’s day (India) with a special Google Doodle in it’s homepage. Doodle for Google 2011 winner’s name was also announced by Google. Earlier Google organized a voting system to determine the winner. And the winner for Doodle for Google 2011 is Varsha Gupta.

The birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru (Chacha Nehru) is celebrated as the Children’s Day in India. It is celebrated on November 14. He was the first Prime Minister of India after independence. This festival is celebrated in the memory of Jawaharlal Nehru. This day is so called because he liked children.
