Now Play Angry Birds Chrome Beta on Facebook
The buzz is on… Angry Birds, will now be available on the web via the Chrome Web Store. Rovio Mobile CEO Peter Vesterbacka, came on the stage wearing a red Angry Birds sweatshirt to announce the news at Google I/O 2011. The newest version of the game will be available on the Chrome browser and will feature exclusive levels available only on Chrome.
Angry Birds on Chrome will use Chrome graphics, such as Chrome buttons as rocks, Chrome logo clouds and flowers, Google colors, and even “Chrome bombs.” The new version will also allow in-app payments so that Angry Birds players can actually buy the coveted “Mighty Eagle.” If you’re unfamiliar with the Mighty Eagle, it’s a special bird that you can buy that will skip you past that level you just can’t beat. The Mighty Eagle was only available for iOS until now.
